Another Rave Party busted, Sudanese national held

Cyberbad police busted an alleged rave party which was held by a group of Sudanese nationals in a resort on the outskirts of Medchal Road.

More than a dozen persons and 18 Sudanese nationals including 6 women were arrested, the police claim.

According to ACP M Srinivasa Rao of Petbasheerbad, police acted on tip-off and raided a party at Honey Berg Resorts in Turkapally on the Medchal Road beyond 11 pm on Wednesday.

Real estate developer group owned the resort which was booked by a group of Sudanese nationals to host a party.

Sources said, most of the 150-odd partying people, the majority of them being Sudanese men and women, managed to flee from the spot. Therefore, when the police raiding party landed at the resort about 2 am on Thursday, only about a dozen and few Sudanese nationals could be nabbed.

According to police, the circulation of drugs at the party was being probed. “As of now, we have information that the Sudanese had taken permission from the excise department for consuming liquor on the lawns of the resort. However, they violated the rules by partying and serving liquor beyond 11 pm,” Balangar DCP AR Srinivas said.
