Giving a short in the arm of TDP, two senior Congress leaders known as Anam brothers changed their loyalties and joined the TDP.
Anam Ramanarayana Reddy and his brother Anam Vivekananda Reddy joined the TDP in the presence of A P Chief Minister and TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with some 2000 followers. On the occasion, a public meeting was organized at A1 convention centre this meeting. Addressing the meeting, Chandrababu Naidu said, “We heartfully welcomed the Anam brothers into our party fold. He alleged that the Congress has divided the State for its political gain. The unscientific bifurcation has done injustice to the A P which has to face huge financial crunch”, he said. “There are problems in the A P and we have to work hard keeping in view future generations”, the Chief Minister exhorted.
State ministers Narayana, Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, TDP State party president Kala Venkatrao, MLCs Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and others attended the meeting. (NSS)
