Another death makes Saharanpur tense again

Saharanpur: During the scuffle between two communities in Saharanpur last month, a critically injured trader after being shot was admitted to a hospital in Chandigarh, died in the hospital on Friday night.

Identified as Pradeep Chauhan was a native of Asnavali village. The administration rushing security personnel to the village to maintain peace after tension prevailed in the town, police sources said.

According to a report by DH, Senior police and civil administration officials also reached the village to address the people gathered at the residence of Chauhan on getting the information of his death.

Chauhan would operate a grocery shop, was shot while on his way to the market by unidentified assailants on May 24.

Violence had erupted in Saharanpur with a fight between Dalits and Thakur community last month. Till now three people have lost their lives with the arrest of the main accused Chandrashekhar, who is the leader of Bhim Army.
