Another blast in Peshawar, at least 15 killed

Peshawar, November 19: A powerful blast ripped through a court in northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Thursday, killing at least 15 and injuring 20 others.

As per the latest news report, many lawyers were present in the court when blast occurred near the main gate of judicial complex at Khyber Road in Peshawar.

According to eyewitnesses, the blast occurred in a car parked within the court premises.

Meanwhile, police have cordoned off the area.

The blast is believed to be in the wake of Pakistan’s Army ongoing offensive in South Waziristan.

Pakistan’s Army has pitted some 30,000 troops against up to 8,000 militants in South Waziristan, including many Uzbeks and other foreign insurgents who have long taken refuge in the lawless tribal areas.
