Anna Hazare admitted to hospital, under intensive care

Social activist and Lokpal Bill crusader Anna Hazare was admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon on Friday.

As per his key supporter Kiran Bedi,rushed to the Medanta Medicity Hospital after he complained of ill health.

Former Team Anna member and Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal also confirmed this on Twitter and wished Hazare a fast recovery.

Hazare, 75, was the face of the popular India Against Corruption movement, which was launched in December 2010 and marked the first time that both the poor and the middle classes of the country united against graft in large numbers.

Thousands took to the streets in August 2011, as Hazare, activist Arvind Kejriwal and former police officer Kiran Bedi held a series of hunger strikes and protests in New Delhi and elsewhere.
