Anil Sharma: I want everyone to look at VEER positively

Mumbai, January 05: Release of VEER is round the corner (22nd January) and the Salman Khan starrer has started creating good buzz at just the right time.

Director Anil Sharma is also relieved that finally the film is being talked about for all the right reasons when earlier (during last couple of years) there were some stories about his so-called problems with Salman spread around, film’s working stills leaked into media as well as false stories being spread around the film’s budget.

“I just want everyone to think, believe and see things positively. There are some segments of media who adopt a positive and an understanding stance but not everyone is alike. All I want is blessings from everyone because we have a good product in hand”, says Sharma.

Tell him that slowly but steadily the film’s promos have started making an impression with the filmgoers, especially due to their grandeur appeal and larger than life presentation and Anil Sharma says, “That is what we were trying to achieve with VEER. We wanted a connect to be built with audiences and had to ensure that what came on screen appealed to the ‘junta’. We thought about it and after a lot of deliberation designed the promos. VEER is an epic love story of a warrior and we wanted to reach out to our audiences with both the love element as well as action.”

Concluding on a humble note, the GADAR director adds, “We are not hiding anything and showing VEER as it has been made. The ball is in your court now. All we can request you is that if you have liked the promos and feel interested then please come and watch the film. You are most welcome.”
