New Delhi, Aug 27 : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday alleged that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is least concerned about the situation at the border, is more concerned about scoring a political point.
“It is extremely unfortunate and a very sad commentary on what kind of politics Mr. Rahul Gandhi is trying to practice. There is no appeal for peace, for calm. When you are seeing that there is a tension there, people are suffering, properties being damaged, people have lost their lives,” said BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli.
“There is no concern for any of that. All that he is concerned about is scoring a political point almost like adding fuel to fire so that he may become relevant. What kind of politics is this? In any case, he is one who keeps on showing his anger,” he added.
Asserting that the BJP-led NDA is a government of selected industrialists, the Congress vice-president said the ruling dispensation at the Centre is least concerned about the farmers, who are facing difficulties.
“Farmers of the entire nation are in difficulty but this government belongs to two or three big businessmen. The states are getting the special package but here the famers are not helped,” said Gandhi.
The Congress vice-president is presently on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. (ANI)
