Anees-ul-Ghurba is one of the oldest orphanages of the city. It is located near Nampally railway station. It seems that the Waqf board did not pay attention towards the building and the children staying there for long, inspite of the fact that Rs. 1.6 crore of funds of Anees-ul-Ghurba are deposited in various banks.
On his visit to Anees-ul-Ghurba, special office Waqf board Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal IPS was surprised to see the pathetic condition of the orphanage. Electric wires were laid open. The building seemed insufficient for the children. He saw that there was no place for children to play.
Seeing the pathetic condition special office Waqf board Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal decided to develop the institution. While he was speaking to media about this some media persons pointed out that a splendid Waqf building exits right behind the Hajj House spread over 1815.7 sqyd. The building seems dilapidated due to lack of care, if renovated its grandeur can be revived. The building is famous with the name Ali Manzil. Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Iqbal said that he had no information regarding the building he would take any action only after seeking details regarding that. The very next day Mr. Abdul Hameed conducted a detailed visit to Ali Manzil but the purpose of the visit is undisclosed.
If Anees-ul-Ghurba is shifted to Ali Manzil it will serve dual purpose, firstly it will help in protection of the precious waqf property and secondly the present building of Anees-ul-Ghurba can be reconstructed.
