“This is taking justice to the people?s doorsteps and ensuring speedy disposal of petty disputes,” Geeta Reddy said.

The Cabinet also cleared a proposal sanctioning 2151 additional posts of teachers in tribal welfare schools, which would be upgraded from primary to upper-primary and upper-primary to high schools.

“The literacy rate among tribals is very low at 37.04 per cent as against the state average of 60 per cent. It is even less among tribal girls (26 per cent). By appointing more teachers, the government wants to improve the academic performance in tribal schools and increase the literacy rate,” the Minister added.
