Hyderabad, December 01: They fumbled many a time while taking oath of office and secrecy as ministers of Andhra Pradesh today with two of them referring to themselves as “Chief Minister”.
P Sudarshan Reddy inadvertently assumed the post of “Chief Minister” when taking oath of secrecy, while one of the senior-most members N Raghuveera Reddy swore by his parents, whom he equated with God.
Of the 39 ministers sworn in, only three took the oath in English and the rest in Telugu. But not all could read the Telugu text clearly as most of them fumbled and pronounced words wrong, often distorting the meaning.
Sudarshan Reddy read out the oath of office rather correctly, but when it came to the oath of secrecy he erroneously spelt minister as “chief minister”.
