Andhra Pradesh: Govt has decide to recruit 6K cops for capital region’s security

HYDERABAD: The AP government has plan to recruit more number of police force at the lower level to protect the law and order mechanism in the new capital. The govt which develops three posts of deputy police commissioner under the police commissionerate Vijayawada as part of its efforts to strengthen the security set-up in Amaravati capital region.

The government, which had already stated permission to fill 10,000 vacant posts in various departments through direct recruitment process, the govt on Thursday released the break-up of 5,991 vacant posts in the police department to be completed by the State Level Police Recruitment Board.

310 male police constables, 14 women constables and 188 AR constables are going to be recruit alone in Vijayawada commissionerate .

For Guntur Urban, 45 police constables, 10 women PCs and 20 AR constables will be recruited. In Guntur Rural including the Tullur subdivisional office, 398 police constables and 97 AR constables will be recruited.

Of those, the posts of deputy jailor (16), male police constable (2,319), women police constable (113), civil SI (245), woman SI (110), male warder (240), female warder (25), AR SI (113), AR police constable (733), APSP Reserve SI (209) and communications police constable (330) will be filled.
