Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy visited Tatipalli in Jagtial mandal, Katlakunta in Medipalli mandal and Joginipalli in Korutla mandal today, to console farmers who suffered heavy losses due to untimely rains which damaged maize, cotton, paddy and mango. He assured them of input subsidy and that the rate of interest will be reduced from 11 per cent to seven percent to enable them repay their loans within an year. He said that an ex-gratia payment would be announced to mango cultivators. Minister for Civil Supplies D Sridhar Babu, Minister for Agriculture V Raghuveera Reddy, MP Madhu Yashki, A Mohan and others had accompanied the chief minister. PTI
