Andhra minister asks Deccan Chargers to boycott IPL3

Hyderabad, February 10: Andhra Pradesh sports minister K Venkata Reddy has asked Deccan Chargers to boycott IPL3 if no matches in the state capital.

Andhra Pradesh Sports Minister wants matches of third edition of Indian Premier League should be played in Hyderabad.

The IPL commissioner Lalit Modi had announced shifting of opening match venue from Hyderabad to Mumbai following intense protest over separate Telangana State.

Earlier, Reddy had assured full security for IPL 3 matches and urged IPL authorities to continue with earlier schedule.

The inaugural show of IPL 3 will be played between defending champion Deccan Chargers and Kolkata Knight Riders on March 12.
