Andhra BJP says media should have code of conduct

Hyderabad, January 10: Terming the attacks on Reliance outlets after Telugu news channels aired reports alleging foul play by Ambani brothers in YSR’s death as “unfortunate”, BJP Andhra Pradesh unit president Bandaru Dattatreya today suggested the media to adopt a code of conduct on their own.

Speaking to reporters here, Dattatreya said “though there was a law in this regard, media should have a code of conduct in telecasting any news which intends to create problems.”

When asked for the reaction of his party on the booking of cases against two senior journalists of TV5 and their arrest, the BJP leader said “we don’t want to politicise the issue.
