England pace spearhead James Anderson believes that he has come of age and is a completely different bowler to the one on his debut in Melbourne as a rookie 20-year-old seamer.
Widely regarded as England’s most effective Test bowler, Anderson is short of three more wickets to break Sir Ian Botham’s long held record of 383.
The right-arm pace bowler said that he couldn’t compare the two as the 20 year old version of him was completely different, the Mirror reported.
Remaining upbeat on England’s chances at the World Cup, Anderson further said that there was a real genuine belief that they could surprise a few teams, adding that they feel confident that they could beat anyone if we have their day.
The World Cup opener between England and Australia is currently underway at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
