New Delhi : If the recent buzz is to believed, then a sequel to the 1994 comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is happening and the film would reportedly be rolled out by the year’s end.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Preeti Sinha, the daughter of Vinay Sinha has given the rights to the production house Phantom Films and the upcoming sequel will be helmed by Vikas Bahl or Vikramaditya Motwane.
The leading daily quoted the source as saying that the script of the forthcoming film, developed by Vivek Soni and Hardik Mehta has been locked.
However, the cast of the upcoming film is yet to be finalized.
Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the old ‘Andaz Apna Apna,’ which starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles, depicted the story of two daydreamers (Aamir-Salman) with a common aim of marrying a rich girl.
The movie, which was released on 11 April 1994, is still regarded as one of the best films of all times. (ANI)
