Former home secretary and BJP MP R.K. Singh on Thursday lauded the Bihar Police for arresting Janata Dal (United) MLA Anant Singh in a kidnapping case.
“There are two things: first the SP, who conducted the investigation, made it clear that Anant Singh had a part in the killing of that boy, and later that SP was transferred, this is the sign of ‘jungle raj’. But at the same time, what the Patna Police did is commendable,” Singh told ANI here.
The Arrah MP also criticized Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the issue.
“Anant Singh is a big don, everybody knows that in Bihar except Nitish Kumar. Nitish Kumar bows down to greet him,” said Kumar.
“Nitish Kumar has shown his true colours. The SP did investigation on Anant Singh and later this Senior SP, Patna, was transferred by Nitish Kumar,” he added.
Anant Singh was arrested yesterday in Patna in connection with a 2014 kidnapping and extortion case filed in Bihita.
The MLA from Mokama was arrested hours after police questioned him and searched his residences in Patna and Barh in connection with another abduction and murder case that took place last week. (ANI)
