Former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Anand Sharma has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mental condition was not good.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Wednesday, Sharma said Modi was not in a position to recognize the victories achieved by the nation. “It is not proper on the part of Modi to behave as the entire nation indulged in scams”, he asserted.
Stating that not a single assurance made by Modi was fulfilled in his one year rule, Sharma alleged that Modi’s rule went on like a publicity stunt. He ridiculed Modi government alleging that the latter’s government was campaigning as its own schemes by changing the names and package of Congress schemes. “The programs like ‘Make in India’ have remained as publicity slogans”, he alleged and said that the NDA government had cut the budget for welfare and education schemes. He said the petro- products’ prices have not been reduced in India on par with the reduction of prices in international market. Sharma opined that the Congress experienced defeat in last general elections just because of its failure in campaigning its victories during its rule.
Making it clear that formation of Telangana State happened because of Congress party, Anand Sharma alleged that Modi was behaving like an RSS campaigner. He said not a single section of people were happy in Modi’s one year rule. Stating that it was not proper on the part of NDA government to state that the Congress party changed the names introduced by former Vajpayee government, Sharma alleged that the Modi government was changing the names of Congress government.
