Anand Parbat stabbing: BJP tells Delhi Police to proactively nail bad elements

New Delhi, July 19 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday said Delhi Police needs to proactively nail bad elements in populated areas.

“It’s (Anand Parbat murder) an unfortunate and a very shameful incident. There are certain bad elements here who trouble the females here. Family has said that they don’t want any compensation. We have talked with Delhi police, two persons are arrested. The Delhi Police has told us that two people have been arrested under Section 302,” BJP ‘s Delhi unit chief Satish Upadhyay told media here.

“Delhi Police needs to be more alert, and they need to have a pro-active approach. The police should be able to map the bad elements such as boys.

The family is satisfied with the investigation by the police and they have said that the others who were involved in this incident should also be arrested. The police should map the bad elements in populated areas,” he added.

Upadhaya also targetted Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his ‘thulla’ remark.

“Kejriwal should concentrate on Delhi first. He is politicizing such sensitive issues. Calling Police ‘thulla’? is that how a Chief Minister talks?. It has become Kejriwal’s habit to name of Modi ji and Central Government in every issue,” he said.

Kejriwal yesterday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the brutal Anand Marg stabbing of a 19-year-old girl.

While expressing shock over the incident, he said the law and order situation in the national capital has deteriorated drastically in the recent past.

“Delhi Police is under the Centre. The Prime Minister should either act or transfer Delhi Police’s command to the Delhi Government,” he said. (ANI)
