Aligarh: Students Union of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has expressed concern over the expelled research scholar Mannan Bashir Wani. In a meeting called by the students union on Sunday, the officials demanded that the investigative agencies should answer where Mannan Wani is? If the truth is not exposed, students union will be forced to launch a movement. Union also wrote a letter to the home minister, UP Chief Minister and Jammu & Kashmir chief minister seeking probe details.
Students’ union president Mashkoor Ahmed Osmani said it has been two weeks since Mannan went missing but neither investigative agency nor detective agency know the whereabouts of Mannan. The report about Mannan’s joining Hizbul Mujahideen could not be confirmed either. Hence he is innocent for us even today.
The union expressed concerns over where Mannan Wani is and is in what situation? Vice President of students’ union Sajjad Subhan told that if no concrete clue is found about Mannan Wani then students union will launch a movement.
