Amputee soccer players a game changer for Gaza wounded

Palestinian amputee soccer players take part in a training session of their team at Municipality Stadium in Deir Al Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. For the first time in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, a football team of male amputees was recently formed to lay the foundation for such a sport in the Israeli-blockaded territory, named “The Heroes”, could be a glimmer of hope for many young people with amputations caused by frequent rounds of violence with Israel and other accidents.
