State government has sanctioned Rs. 9,62,50,000 from the budget of financial year 2013-14, towards construction of hostels and residential school buildings for Minority students. Official orders were issued in this connection on Saturday.
Principal Secretary Social Welfare J Raymond Peter issued GO RT 66 which stated that Rs. 9,62,50,000 from the planned budget of financial year 2013-14 will be spent for construction of hostels and residential schools. The amount has been released as part of the first installment of the amount allocated in the budget for the said purpose. Commissioner Minority Welfare will supervise the implementation of the scheme.
