Telangana government has released Rs. 20 Cr for scholarship to minority students. Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel issued orders in this connection. The budget was released under planned expenditure for the financial year 2015-16. Rs. 30 Cr had been allocated in the budget for scholarship scheme and Rs. 10 Cr. had been released in the first phase while further 20 Cr. has been released in the second phase thus releasing the complete budget. Director Minority Welfare has been authorised to receive and use the amount for implementing the scheme.
