Congress MLC and Telangana leader Kompally Yadav Reddy on Monday condemned Rajya Sabha member Palwai Goverdhan Reddy’s statement that Telangana MPs were resorting to blackmail tactics on Congress president Sonia Gandhi instead of mounting pressure for the Telangana statehood.
Talking to media persons at Congress Legislature Party Office, Yadav Reddy demanded that Palwai Goverdhan Reddy apologise to Telangana MPs immediately and withdraw his such harsh comments. He hoped Goverdhan Reddy would restrain from making comments that insults the Telangana leaders.
MLC K R Amos too came down heavily on Rajya Sabha member Renuka Chowdhary and Palwai Goverdhan Reddy for targeting Telangana MPs, who were suspended from the Lok Sabha for raising Telangana issue. Terming their remarks as ‘unfortunate’, he appealed to Rajya Sabha members to stall the proceedings of Upper House of Parliament by raising Telangana issue strongly on the lines of Telangana MPs.
