Kollam (Kerala), Sept. 27 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Sunday said his party will make Kerala Congress and Communist free, and expressed the hope that his party will make its presence felt in the next state assembly polls.
“After the Bihar elections, there will be elections in four states i.e. West Bengal, Kerala, Assam and Tamil Nadu. I am confident that the best government will be formed in Kerala. In rest of the nation, our workers work towards making Congress free, but here we have to make Kerala both Congress free and Communist free,” Shah said in his address to party workers here.
“We have not won seats in Kerala, but I am sure this time, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there will be a change,” he added.
Shah said that Congress and Communist party merely raises slogans on poverty eradication, but BJP is actually working towards achieving it.
“Today, there is no family in the nation that does not have bank account. And these bank accounts are truly benefitting them,” he said.
Shah further said that Indian forces are giving a befitting reply to Pakistani forces at the border.
“Aaj seemao par golibari ki shuruaat Pakistan ki taraf se hoti hain par uski samaapti Bharat ki sena karti hain (These days the firing at the border is started by Pakistan but it is ended by India),” he said.
Shah is in Kerala to attend a function at Mata Amritanandamayi Math. The Math had earlier this month donated Rs 100 crore for the ‘Swachh Bharat’ and Clean Ganga programmes. (ANI)
