Amit Shah, Rahul visit won’t affect TRS: Talasani

Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today asserted that the proposed visits of BJP national president Amith Shah and AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi to Hyderabad will not have any adverse impact on the TRS.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat here today, Talasani ridiculed that the BJP and the Congress were vying for making false allegations against the Government, which was giving top priority to the welfare and development. Despite their tactics for political mileage, the people will not support the Opposition parties, he said. “Shah and Rahul visits will not cause any damage to our party, which is being strengthened with increased membership that was pegged at about 75 lakh”, he claimed.

Though the Opposition parties were hatching conspiracies, the ruling TRS has the patronage of the people, he stated. The newly formed State has been on growth trajectory as several welfare schemes were being implemented with huge funds, the minister said. Srinivas said that the people of the newly formed Telangana State is with TRS and in the last 3 years, the government has taken many programs for uplift of the poorest, down trodden and introduced schemes for the welfare of SC, ST, BCs and Minorities.

He listed out that the State government was effectively implementing rice at Rs one per kg, Rs. 1000 under Aasara Pension, Rs. 1500 pension to physically handicapped, steps has been taken for increasing the quota for BCs for which terms of reference already given to BC Commission.  At this crucial juncture, the visit of Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi to state will not have effect on the TRS government as people are aware of their opportunistic politics of the BJP and the fate of Congress party, he said. The Congress was defeated in several States only after Rahul Gandhi made visits and it has no future as their leaders were involved in internal squabbles in the State, he added. (NSS)
