BJP president Amit Shah will leave for Coimbatore on Thursday to address party workers in the city.
In his one-day visit, Shah will take stock of the political situation in Tamil Nadu during which he will have discussions with top party leaders.
“As Tamil Nadu came out in top among 10 states in membership drive, nearing 22 lakh, Shah wanted to thank all leaders and workers at the grassroot level for achieving such a feat,” party State Secretary GKS Selvakumar told PTI.
All India secretary Muralidhar Rao, State president Tamilisai Soundararajan and Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan would be among 300 senior party leaders attending the morning session to take stock of political situation, he said.
In the afternoon, Shah will address over 2,000 workers at Mandal level for showing their power in the membership drive, Selvakumar said.
