Amit Jani: The man giving LS tickets to Hindus who lynched Muslims

LUCKNOW: What gives an insight into the humongous polarization in the country an Uttar Pradesh businessman is giving Lok Sabha tickets to Hindus who have lynched Muslims.

Amit Jani, a wealthy former Samajwadi Party member, is preparing “Hindu Fidayeen” to fight for “Real Hindutva.

Jani is in the hospitality sector and has made huge fortunes. He is spending a part of it to fight for ‘Hindus’.

As per media reports, Jani’s Uttar Pradesh Navnirman Sena, a radical Hindutva outfit based in Meerut, has fielded Shambu Lal Raigar, who hacked a Muslim man to death in December 2017.

Besides, Jani has also fielded Hariom Sisodia, one of the accused in the lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq in September 2015, and Naresh Kumar Sehrawat, accused of stabbing 16-year-old Hafiz Junaid Khan in June 2017.

Rupendra Rana, one of the 19 men accused of lynching Mohammad Akhlaq in Uttar Pradesh’s Dadri in September 2015, will also contest the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.

Rana spent two-and-a-half years in jail and is currently out on bail. Jani announced the decision to field Rana from Gautam Budh Nagar constituency in Noida.

As per his close associates, the 36-year-old Jani has been in and out of jail since he was a teenager.

Jani was recently arrested last year for posting computer-generated photos of the Taj Mahal with saffron flags on top.

Jani claims that that the UP Narnirvan Sena has one lakh members in Uttar Pradesh and they are ‘ready for 2019 elections’.
