Ahmedabad, August 23: The wife of N K Amin, accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, has expressed concerns about her husband’s security in jail, following claim by an undertrial that he was offered Rs 10 lakh to kill Amin.
Seeking more security for her husband, Jayshree made an application to the CBI which the investigating agency placed before special CBI court today.
Based on the application, Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate A I Rawal asked the Sabarmati jail authorities to provide details about security arrangements there and scheduled the final hearing on the matter for August 26.
In her application, Jayshree said after the revelation by Shakeel alias Teja Yusuf Sheikh last week in Vadodara that he was offered Rs 10 lakh to kill Amin in jail, she was concerned about her husband’s security.
