Hyderabad: The success of religion and the world lies in getting education. The students of today should not think that they are lagging behind anyone. They should get education through hard work and discipline in order to get laurels. These thoughts were expressed by Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily while addressing a meeting organized by girls’ junior college, Siddipet on the occasion of National Education Day to mark the 129th birth anniversary of Maulana Azad.
Mr. Syed Miskeen Ahmed, President, Anjuman-e-Muhibban-e-Urdu presided over the function.
Continuing his speech, Mr. Amer Ali Khan advised the girls to get higher education not only to get name and fame for their college, district, State but also for the country. He told them not to dream of becoming only the doctors and Engineers instead they should make an attempt to become IAS or IPS officers. Citing the example of Prophet Mohammed’s (PBUH) first wife, Hazrat Khadija, Mr. Amer Ali Khan told the girls to follow her footsteps.
He paid rich tribute to the educational and political services rendered by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad and advised the girls to make him as their role model.
Mr. Miskeen Ahmed in his presidential address highlighted social, educational and journalistic contribution of Maulana Azad. Mr. Amer Ali Khan also distributed prizes to the successful candidates of Essay writing and elocution competitions in which intermediate Urdu and Telugu medium students participated.
The meeting was addressed by Dr. Majeed Bedar, Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin, Mr. Satyanarayana, Mr. Abdus Saleem, Mr. Zubair Husain and others. Mr. Shaheed Khan proposed vote of thanks. Mr. Fasihuddin, lecturer conducted the meeting. A large number of girls and teachers were present at the function.
