Hyderabad: Aam Aadmi Party Telangana has demanded amendment in G.O. Ms. No. 25 related to Shaadi Mubarak Scheme. Demanding the amendment, Co Convenor Aam Aadmi Party Telangana Prof. P L Vishweshwar Rao and Media Coordinator Namrata Jaiswal said that inclusion of Tahsildar and respective MLA in the scheme has made it difficult for the scheme to reach out to the deserving candidates.
Telangana government has announced Shaadi Mubarak scheme for the Muslim girls. A one-time financial assistance of Rs 51,000 is provided to the bride’s family at the time of marriage to meet the marriage related expenses.
Aam Aadmi Party leaders revealed that instead of clearance of applications of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme by Executive Director Telangana State Minority Finance Corporation and Minority Welfare, sanction of applications by Tahsildar and local MLA has delayed the clearance of applications. Hence Aam Aadmi Party has demanded clearance of applications of Shaadi Mubarak Scheme by Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation and District Minorities Welfare Department. The party also demanded control on interference of middle men in the schemes.
