Andhra Pradesh Ambedkar Yuvajana Sangam has welcomed the decision taken by the Government of India to create small states and form Separate Telangana. The decision was in conformity with Dr Ambedkar’concept in favour of small States, Sangam state President K Vidyasagar, Secretary General P Jayaprakash and other office-bearers stated.
Speaking to the media at NSS here Tuesday, they said that at a meeting of the State Sangam held on December 8 along with District unions, with Vice-President C L Yadagiri in the chair, it was unanimously decided to abolish the existing state executive as it has become ineffective, and to elect a new body. Accordingly, the following office-bearers were elected unanimously: K Vidyasagar – state present; K Vinay Kumar Treasurer; P Jayaprakash – state Secretary General, B Venkatesh – state Vice-President, Raj Kumar – State vice-President.
The meeting condemned diversion of Rs.1300 crore sub-plan funds, and demanded a high level probe in to the death of Hyderabad Central University student. (NSS)
