Hyderabad, August 01: Describing the Kadapa MP and son of late YSR, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a “drop of clean water in a salty ocean”, the suspended PCC general secretary, Mr Ambati Rambabu, has advised the party high command to utilise the services of the young leader in an appropriate manner in the interests of the party.
Mr Rambabu, who visited Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday to appear before the Congress Disciplinary Committee to submit his explanation, was aghast the chairman and members of the committee were absent.
Talking to mediapersons, Mr Rambabu, a close confidant of Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, said that he has not received any communication from the party high command about his suspension so far. He also disclosed that he had written to the AICC general secretary incharge of AP affairs, Mr Veerappa Moily, to clarify whether he was suspended from the party or not.
Lamenting that the party high command has not followed rules of the party constitution over his suspension, Mr Rambabu pointed out that his suspension from the party remains illegal and void if the party disciplinary committee fails to conduct inquiry. He also demanded that the party high command initiate action against the senior leaders of the party for acting against the interests of the party.
