Actor and Housing Minister M H Ambareesh will be shifted to Singapore for further treatment early on Saturday, doctors said on Friday.
The actor is stable and his family has decided to take him to Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.
He will leave in an air ambulance around 3.30am, as said by a spokesperson of Vikram Hospital where the actor is being treated.
As per the sources close to the family said superstar Rajinikanth spoke to Ambareesh’s actor-wife Sumalatha, son Abhishek Gowda and others in the family. Citing his own experience, the Tamil superstar recommended Singapore is the best place to get Ambareesh treated for lung infection and respiratory problems.
Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad had given similar advice to the family while assuring financial assistance to his medical expenses abroad.
Dr Satish, however, rebuffed reports that Rajinikanth visited Ambareesh at the hospital two days ago. “We have no such information. The hospital would have known if the superstar did pay a visit,” the doctor said.
