Amar Singh even the score with SP Chief Mulayam

AMAR Singh has hit back at Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for his antagonistic remarks about Rampur MP Jaya Prada. The spat between the friends- turned- foes have turned personal, leaving no room for their ceasefire.

“I heard Mulayam saying that Jaya, who used to look good, ran away with me. But I want to tell him that there were two actresses, Jaya Bachchan and Jaya Prada, who had joined the SP because of me. Jaya Bachchan remained with the party. But I never complained to anybody that she left me and went with Mulayam,” Singh said.

Amar Singh and his protégé Jaya Prada were debarred from the Samajwadi Party in 2010.

“Mulayam has lost his memory. I was suspended and not ran away from the SP and Jaya Prada was also forced to leave the party. And I had brought the two actresses to the party fold because of their qualities and not because they were good looking. The SP chief is talking about the looks of Jaya Prada. Let me remind him that she considers him like a father figure,” Singh said.

“One thing must not be forgotten that Jaya Prada stayed in the SP with dignity and fought all odds thereafter,” he said.

On Sunday, Mulayam had taken a critical remark at Jaya Prada.
