Jaunpur, October 25: With an FIR lodged in Kanpur charging him and others with a financial fraud to the tune of Rs 500 crore, SP General Secretary Amar Singh today said he and Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan have been framed at the behest of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.
“Mayawati is baffled because of her own failures. Her own misdeeds have been exposed by the Supereme Court. Therefore, she got a fake case registered against me and Amitabh Bachchan,” the SP leader said addressing an election meeting here in view of the forthcoming assembly bypoll in UP.
The Bollywood actor’s name also appears in the 14-page police complaint lodged in Kanpur.
“State police is working on the directives of the Chief Minister and the SP workers are being harassed most” he said and threatened to avenge the atrocities on them at the right time.
