Alumni demand to free Aliya and Mahboobia Schools from govt. control

Alumni of two old and historical schools of Hyderabad Madrasa Aliya and Mahboobia Girls High School expressed grief over the miserable condition of the schools. The pathetic and miserable condition of their Almae Matres even made the eyes of some of them wet. The schools which were once the educational hubs and whose alumni are holding prominent positions and making a contribution in every field of life, has been converted to relic by prejudiced officers.

The old boys demanded that the schools should be freed from government control and they would be given autonomous status. A committee should be formed comprising of alumni and members nominated by the government. A special fund should be allocated by the chief minister to restore the lost glory of Aliya School and Mahboobia Girls High school. In a special meeting the alumni of the schools lamented that the historical buildings of both the schools are deliberately converted into relics. The outside walls are converted into urinals. A resolution was also passed in the meeting demanding constructive steps to restore the grandeurs of the historical schools.

A delegation also met deputy Chief minister Mr. Mahmood Ali and apprised him about the resolution passed.
