Hyderabad, August 20: The Campaign for Housing and Tenurial Rights (CHATRI) filed a petition to State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) seeking prompt alternative shelters and action against GHMC demolition drive.
Talking to Indian News Network, Chatri coordinator Rama Rao alleged that the Greater Hyderbad Municipal Corporation officials sans any intimation rushed to the homes, in no times razing their homes left.
He further informed that the locality was formed much before two decades, the residents have ration cards, Voter ID, Water and Electricity connections, despite all houses were razed without any legal notice.
Beside this, the residents alleged that today Amberpet MRO accompanying armed forced rushed to the houses and forcibly booted them out.
They wanted the State Human Rights Commission to look into this matter as soon as possible so as to their shelter could be provided.
