New Delhi, April 13: Almond prices today rose by Rs 5.25 or 1.43 per cent at Rs 372 per kg in futures trade today, as speculators their enlarged positions on increased demand in the spot market. Restricted arrivals from the overseas market also led to a rise in the prices.
At the Multi commodity Exchange, almond for April-month contract rose by Rs 5.25 or 1.43 per cent to Rs 372 per kg, with a trading volume of two lots. Market analysts said, the firmness in almond futures trade is due to pick up in demand in the spot market against restricted arrivals from the overseas markets.
