New Delhi : AllSuperMart (ASM) a hyperlocal online platform for grocery and utility shopping from local vendors announced its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activity in Palghar district of Maharashtra.
Staying true to its vow of providing education facilities for children from economically weaker section of society, the company will adopt 222 children between the age group of one to seventeen years and equip them with basic requirements.
The activity was held on May 24, 2016 in three villages of Palghar, viz. Vanvasipada, Sawa and Ubhidon in Vikramgad Taluka (sub division). Situated near Dhamni Dam, these areas are still deprived of electricity and basic infrastructure even after seven decades of India’s independence.
ASM has thus taken this responsibility to bring about a positive change in these villages. They will provide educational requirements like school bags, uniforms/clothes, footwear, necessary stationary, and raincoats to the lucky children.
“Education is a basic human right and should be made accessible for everyone. Sadly, in our country, the less fortunate ones rarely get to exercise this right either for themselves or for their children. Therefore, with this CSR activity, AllSuperMart hopes to fulfill the beautiful dreams of these children and help them realize their maximum potential without any hurdles or struggle on their path to success,” said Founder and CEO AllSuperMart, Amit Singh.
Through this activity ASM will donate two months of its profit for the cause of social betterment. Along with aforementioned educational requirements, it will also provide meritorious students with scholarships (including Tuition Fees, Hostel expense, and Overall cost of education) to fund their higher education, instilling in them a belief that anything is possible.
