Allocation of Rs. 45000 crore for development of Hyderabad: KCR’s new tactics to save image

Hyderabad: It seems that KCR has become an expert in wooing the people by making false promises. For the people of Hyderabad, he has been showering the promises of benefits which can never be translated into action.

In the last session of the Assembly, Mr. KCR has announced that Rs. 12000 crore has been allocated for the development of Hyderabad City and he had also promised that he would visit the Old City before Ramadan but it remained only a promise.

Now that the midterm polls are likely to be held, KCR has made an announcement that Rs. 45000 crore would be spent for the development of Hyderabad.

Earlier, he has made an announcement that he would develop Hyderabad on a par with New York, Singapore and Istanbul. The question is, where is he going to get this amount from?

It is a well-known practice that before implementing a project, provision has to be made in the State Budget. Telangana budget is running in deficit. Despite this, he has made an announcement for allocating Rs. 45000 crore for Hyderabad and Rs. 10000 crore for other cities of Telangana. Without making a provision in the budget, no State Govt. is empowered to spend such huge amounts.

It is not known how Mr. KCR is going to get this amount. He should specify the source for getting it.
