All YSR Schemes Will Be Implemented: Geetha Reddy

Hyderabad, July 09: The Information and Public Relations minister Ms Geetha Reddy said that the government would continue the implementation of all the welfare schemes introduced by the former Chief Minister late YS Rajashekar Reddy, as already stated by the Chief minister Mr K Rosaiah. She assured that the present government would not leave the path shown by the late leader YS Rajashekar Reddy.

Addressing a meeting of YSR Birth Anniversary Celebrations, organised by the state Dalitha, Girijana, Banjara Ikya Vedika here at Ravindra Bharathi on Thursday, Ms Geetha Reddy has exuded confidence that the close friend of late leader YSR, Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao would guide the government in all aspects.

Praising the services of late YSR, Ms Geetha Reddy said that he had given her a chance to become the Industries Minister though she was a Dalith woman. She also said that the only leader Mr YSR had given the chance first time to three Daliths to become the government whips. AICC president and UPA Chairperson Ms Sonia Gandhi and the Prime Minister Mr Manmohan Singh had given a special place to the late leader YSR, she observed.

Rajya Sabha member and YSR’s close associate Mr KVP Ramachandra Rao has said that all the leaders in the state would follow the path shown by late YSR. He said he and other leaders would strive to implement the schemes introduced by the late leader.

MLC Mr Jupudi Prabhakar Rao has said that the present situation in the state shows the lack of leadership and every one has to work for stabilization of the leadership.

MLC Mr D Rajeshwar Rao, retired IAS Mr T Gopal Rao, AP Schedule Castes Welfare Association general secretary Mr G Shankar, AP Ambedkar Youth Associations president Mr I Mysaiah, and other also spoke, while SC/ST State Commission former chairman Dr Merugu Nagarjuna presided over the programme.
