All set for Harithaharam

Stage is set for the planting 40 crore saplings across the state as part of the Harithaharam, aimed at increasing the green cover in the state.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao would formally launch the green drive by planting saplings at Peddakaparti village of Chityala mandal in Nalgonda district on July 8, informed sources. About 1.5 lakh saplings would be planted alongside the National Highway at Abdullapurmet.

Elaborate arrangements have been made by the GHMC for the green drive. On July 11, about 25 lakh saplings would be planted in the GHMC limits. The programme will be attended by IT minister K. T. Rama Rao along with other ministers, informed officials. (INN)
