All set for departure of Haj Pilgrims from Andhra

Hyderabad, October 21:The Andhra Pradesh State Haj committee has geared itself for the Haj Camp 2010 that would facilitate the departure of over 7000 pilgrims from the state to Saudi Arabia.

The Haj Camp that will open tomorrow will offer facilities like free accommodation, food and transportation to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for the pilgrims.

Chairman of the Haj Committee Janab Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmad said that help counters by the Customs and Immigration departments have been set up to assist the pilgrims, who will be taken to the airport from the Haj Camp in special buses.

The camp will remain open till November 4.

The first flight will take off at 6 am on October 24 carrying 300 pilgrims. In all 940 pilgrims will leave on the first day through three flights to Madinah, a Haj committee official said.
