All Hindu Rights Forum launched for first time in Pakistan

Prominent personalities in Hindu community have launched All Hindu Rights Forum (AHRF) in Pakistan.

The non-political organisation is aimed at striving constitutional rights for the largest religious minority living in Pakistan.

According to the Daily Times, AHRF President Dr Mohan Manjiani formally announced the launching of the forum at a press conference held in Karachi.

Dr Manjiani said that the Chairman of the forum will be former MNA Kishanchand Parwani.

He said Hindu community was feeling insecure in Pakistan due to continued injustice and atrocities against them, especially women.

He added Hindus were not equal citizens of the state but victims of a religious apartheid.

He added that thousands of temples have been vandalised, wealth of minorities looted, women and children were abducted, but none of it has been tried before the court of law to give them justice.

According to the report, referring to incidents of forced marriages of Hindu girls in Sindh, he said that the courts never considered the fact that most of the girls were minors, and simply accepted the certificate of conversion without any investigation.

He demanded special session of Parliament to verify injustices and persecution of Pakistani Hindus and other minorities, the report added. (ANI)
