The orientation and demonstration of e-Office was given to the officers by the Information Technology Advisor J. Satyanarayana and Krishna Dist. Collector Sri Babu A, today at Secretariat, in the presence of Chief Secretary I.Y.R. Krishna Rao.
At a meeting with all the Secretaries and HoDs, the Chief Secretary reviewed on the procedures needs to be followed for implementation of e-Office system; Double Digit Growth–Key Performance Indicators.
The Chief Secretary said that the Government of Andhra Pradesh took a decision to implement e-Office system in all the service Departments with conscious effort to introduce transparency. By implementation of this system will reduce scope of malpractices and fabricate of deeds preventing fraud, forgery etc.,
With the cooperation of National Informatics Centre (NIC), all Collectorates in the State are being switched to e-Office mode that involves digitization of all documents and files which ensures electronic tracking. All the Departments functions as a trusted record keeper for the citizens of Andhra Pradesh. NIC Mail will only work to operate the Electronic Office (e-Office) system which is highly secured for the Government and to avoid environmental delays while sending the files through this system, the Chief Secretary said.
E. Sreedharan met the Chief Secretary and requested for expediting the formation of Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for Vijayawada Metro and also entering into a MoU by the SPV with the Delhi Metro Railway Corporation for early starting of the programme and tying up of funds both from Government of India and External Funding Agency. Chief Secretary promised to expedite all these processes.
Dr. Ravikumar Vemuru has been appointed as an Advisor to Non-Resident Telugu Affiairs including Services and Investments for the NRI sector co-operation. A presentation of the possibility of attracting the NRI investments and facilitating the same in the new state of Andhra Pradesh was given by Dr. Ravikumar. (INN)
