Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand has said all arrangements have been made to ensure that the people celebrate Ganesh idols Immersion and Bakrid festivals in a peaceful manner.
Speaking to the media after examining the Police Check Post at Yanampet Chowrastha and Edulapuram Tank in Ghatkesar mandal in Rangareddy district here on Monday, Anand said Ganesh idols Immersion and Bakrid festivals were falling on the same day after 33 years. He said 21 Check Posts were set up to see that no untoward incident could take place in Cyberabad limits.
The Cyberabad CP revealed that they have set up special Check Posts on 10 national highways and outer ring road. People sought more permissions to install Ganesh idols compared to last year, he said, adding there was the possibility of some 10,500 Ganesh idols being immersed in 25 tanks under Hyderabad Police Commissionerate limits.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh State government issued a G.O. allotting 1761 Andhra Police personnel for the Ganesh idols Immersion. AP Law & Order Additional DGP R P Takur issued the G.O. (NSS)
