Aligarh Muslim University offers to clean River Ganga

Aligarh Muslim University has made an offer to the central government to clean the Ganga river water. Flow of contaminated water into Ganges cannot be stopped but it can be purified and made usable. Aligarh Muslim University Vice-Chancellor Lt. General Zameer Uddin Shah revealed this. He was speaking at a function where he was felicitated by Indo-Arab League chairman and editor of Urdu daily “Rehnuma-e-Deccan” Syed Viqaruddin.

Vice Chancellor Aligarh Muslim University has been the first Muslim Chief of Army and has been honoured with almost all prestigious awards. It is said that Aligarh Muslim University has achieved success in the project of recycling of waste water without energy. It has raised plants which absorb impurities and clean the water.

He said the next world war would be waged for water and the best way to deal with water scarcity is to recycle it.

Lt. Gen. Zameeruddin Shah said, AMU is now a leader in nano technology, which is going to be next revolution in the country. “Our nano technology scientists are harnessing power of nano material. They will usher in second green revolution in the country,” he added.
