Alert! WhatsApp could stop working on your phone after June 30

New Delhi: In an attempt to add more features, popular mobile messaging service, WhatsApp could stop its service on phone running Windows 7, BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 after 30th June 2017.

Company in an official blogspot said, “This was a tough decision for us to make, but the right one in order to give people better ways to keep in touch with friends, family and loves ones using WhatsApp”.

Earlier, on 31st December 2016, WhatsApp had ended support to Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 and iPhone 3GS/iOS.

Recently, Whatsapp added “Status” feature lets users share photos, GIFs or videos overlaid with drawings, emojis and a caption that will be visible to selected friends for 24 hours, before disappearing.

WhatsApp has been rolling out updates and features to make the app more secure for its users. The social networking app recently rolled out a two-step verification process for all devices to enhance the security of users’ accounts.
