Officials of the SV Medical College Tirupathi were flabbergasted when a student who has been studying medicine in the college for the past 4 years turned out to be phony. She was actually studying in the name of another student. Media revealed that the student who got seat in the medical college died before taking admission. However another girl took admission in her name.
It has been discovered that a girl named Alekha Reddy appeared in EAMCET 2004 but could not get the seat. She took the place of a Muslim girl Mumtaz and got admission in the medical college. The Muslim girl had died before admission despite getting good rank in EAMCET.
Similarly many people are working in medical department in fictitious names. A phony lady doctor has also been exposed who is working as house surgeon in Roya College. The lady doctor is charged of sending the beneficiaries of Arogyasri to private hospitals and stealing the expensive medicines of the govt. Hospital.
No one has identified the fictitious girl studying in medical college which indicates that the act has been done in connivance with medical college officials.
